Wow

Monkey-dude!

Excellent shot that makes an ordinary scenery extra-ordinary
Like Andy I am wondering how the hell you managed to get up there

+ 10

now we have to wait another year for your next one...a well:p

Very nice. Exposure time seems perfect (how long?) :)
Great composition!
There is some little level of noise.
Impressive job for an 8 years old.... monkey!

Ok from the top....
first entry... I cant type the name but I will say your gallery is good...
Andy. you know I respect your talent........ :)
Vincent..... same as above. not your namme, the talent comment..
Road runner... its about time... :) :) the issue with noise is not in the origional print, its on my desk 16 x 12 inches,( professionally printed by lab) its perfect, the problem is as stated in my other image (Abbey).. I DONT KNOW HOW TO CONVERT IT PROPERY LOL Byonder will tell you that :)
I had the same problem with the abbey image... its a conversion image problem and I am only 8....... ;) your spot on man......
Here is a link to a better file 4.6mb
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d152/sunnycarey/road.jpg
exif on its way when moser rips the info from the file :) lol
#edit Photoshop shows 2.8 Ap and 100 asa for our german friends I think its 21 din ;) shutter speed.......... no idea....

Avatar Roadrunner

 01/26/08 @183

Lol, dont worry about it. Its obvious but little, not too distracting. :)
But share the bloody exif. we are here to learn! :p

Edit: thanks for the half-exif and link. Looks great, not sure when conversion adds noise.
the magic software of Patrick wont help here, as the file does not include the exif.

A unique angle! Excellent perspective and lighting! Good choice of shutter speed with perfect DOF and focus. My only suggestion might be to try increasing the blacks in PS for a bit more contrast. Can't find fault with this one Brian, nice work!!

Bullshit Brian!

That link you sent us was not to the high resolution (or higher) picture.
The file you linked us to is at 483 kb and no 4.6 mb. I would definitely have liked to get my hands on the larger one to see what can be done on the noise mentioned. Can't really believe it had anything to do with the resizing of the image.

Your EXIF values Sir:
Exposure: 1/2 sec
Aparture: f2.8
ISO: 100

Get ride of the noise!

Great angle!

Would also have pushed the black a little.

It looks a little titled at the end of the bridge but I guess you slipped a little or worried to much that the NYC cops would catch you while climbing up there in your silly monkey outfit! LMAO

PS. I would have tried a higher aparture value :)

Nice to see you posting again!

hehe nice to see you posting... please keep going :)
angle is kind of harsh but working :) and shutter speed is perfect
well done. Not as striking as your ape picture thought... its worth +8 to me :)

why don't you post the 3 images used for your profile picture
the mask looks cool, and the water scene also

Avatar FAV

nice shot. everything was already said I think....
anyway, the best part of the pic is due to the monkey ability to climb - the angle of the shot.
as Cig already said, I cannot wait to see your next years' shot.
Good luck and take care getting off that "tree".

haha look whos posting again wonderful object and how the heck you;ve made it... soooo high...
the noise is from the .gif extnsion i think and it looks much better on the link you've posted in your comment :)
still looks good i would never stand in those place :p

Avatar liiga

 01/28/08 @814

Well I'm not surprised you've got noise issues - it's a .gif image. :p A .jpg or .png will usually get you better quality (do they accept pngs here? I forget). I usually sharpen mine before downsizing, and occasionally make another copy with unsharp mask used instead of sharpening, downsize that, too, put it over a sharpened one and adjust opacity until something decent pops out.

How did you get up there? Are you secretly the Spider Man? O.O

Avatar RvascoF

 01/29/08 @813

NIce shot, abit noisy on the road and cars, i´m wondering how did you get up there....!!! Are you really a monkey...? :p

I always love these shots. Ha, the only time I like the city really.. :p
For some reason I think this angle looks nice. It kind of makes you feel that you are apart of this intense fast paced world.
Brilliant shot Brian!

Great timing, but the GIF format isn't the best idea for photos. ;)
On the additional jpeg it looks much better.

Hey! I just found this! You shoulda told me you posted something. I like it a lot. I might have rotated it a bit counter-clockwise so that the curvature of the horizon is about equal left to right. I might have considered cloning out the horizontal wire. It doesn't quite fit the composition.

Good work Brian!
